Resia Val Venosta
Resia Val Venosta (German Reschen) is the last Italian village before the Austria border; its symbol is the submerged bell tower. This architecture characteristic dates back to the 50s, when the village of Resia was submerged to build the dam. There are many legends about the lake; one tells that the submerged bells ringing during stormy nights. Resia is an ideal and popular Italy summer and winter holidays destination as here it’s possible to try kitesurf, Nordic Walking, trekking and cycling. In winter, it’s possible to ski around Resia Val Venosta in the following ski zones: Malga Haider (tedesco Haideralm) and Schöneben (Italian: Belpiano), from November till April. It’s also possible to practice the snowkite!
